Nutrionics brings to mind a daydream of mine that Joseph Scogna is a medical doctor in my town. He understands the profound connection between electromagnetic energies, their corresponding impact upon emotion, and in turn, the impact which emotion holds over an organism's state of health and well-being. He is able to pinpoint what's wrong way before symptoms turn into full-blown pathologies. Perhaps even more importantly, he helps us all to take command of our own health and happiness issues rather than reluctantly turning ourselves over to “health professionals.”

Because of this work, I now see illness as the incidence of jammed-up energy flow, and I am aware of an essential interconnectedness between me, my state of health and my thoughts and emotions, not to mention what I take in from the outside, both organically and inorganically.

Joseph Scogna illustrates that our emotions are actually electric, and that the entire organismic creature is inherently altered by electronic stress and electronic frequencies. He seemed to know, decades ahead of time, where science and technology were going, and the burgeoning deleterious effect that this evolution could bring to living beings.

As I read about the 22 elements (11 elemental pairs) and their relationship to electromagnetic energy, some with positive and some with negative charges, I began to wonder what happens to us when we ingest nutritional supplements not matched up with their respective elemental partner. Taking supplements began to appear much more complicated than I had previously thought. Never mind, though, because Scogna guides us towards achieving balance through the use of synergistic vs. anti-synergistic elements, foods, and glandulars in this treatise of “bionic nutrition” and energy observation and management.

I especially appreciate the section on Organs and Glands, as the author's simple explanations of organic and glandular function makes it easy to see the inter-play of each and the interrelatedness of everything, for that matter.

In this book, we are taken on a journey of Life Energy Flow and Pattern. This is why I wish Scogna had been a medical doctor. I desperately wish I could find a physician who did not make me feel like I was a herniated disc or a hyper-acidic esophagus or a creature missing a thyroid, but instead a wondrously made, inter-connected Spirit with a vibrational frequency all my own, with the propensity for an exaltation of flow given advantageous elements and thoughts, etc.

Because this flow, in actuality, is subject to external stress/radiation, Scogna was visionary enough to not only see the wondrousness of how we are made, but how supra-wondrously we would have to learn to co-exist in an increasingly toxic and complicated world. If you know of Scogna, you cannot help but think of him constantly with respect to the Japanese/Universal ordeal we are all witnessing today. How did he know? Why did he care? I don't know, but I am grateful that he did.

The Metabolic Triples - new to SAF Online

The Metabolic Triples has now been computerized and streamlined to enhance SAF chain work.

Part of the original life energy research of Joseph Scogna, the metabolic information is a sub-routine of SAF Key work, and is used expressly for the purpose of finding the flow of organ and/or gland dysfunction, that is, the organic formula of the actual pattern of disease within each person. Remember, that SAF defines "disease" as a complication, a situation that is so complex it cannot be dissolved or released.

In his life energy investigations, Scogna defined the triple point function of electroplasmic entities, notably organs and glands. The science of this idea has descended from the understandings of electric principles handed down from the earliest mathematicians and philosophers - the Sumerians, the Chinese, Egyptians and the Greeks - and is the basis upon which the SAF method operates.

Communication between organ and gland systems is for the purpose of rectifying needs and abundances; it is the process necessary to maintain life. Harmonic, synchronized, laser-type messages are sent and received. This negative-positive process follows the Law of Comfortable Pressure and Space (See: The Promethion).

When organs and glands are stressed (there is a problem), we see this in an SAF chain of numbers. When two organ and gland system entities are communicating, as we see in a chain, we call these metabolic doubles. These doubles are expressing the need for change in the needs and abundances. When three organ and gland system entities are communicating, we find a bending of the energy lines between them. These metabolic triples create a static force field that later develops into a diseased state, bringing it all into the third dimension, the physical realm. "Listen up!" Our organs and glands are attempting to tell us of an issue if we will only pay attention.

Another Country Heard From.....

When you enter my breezeway, the wooden beam welcomes you with a painted eagle hovering above the open pages of a book. Bold Latin words proclaim: "Verba locuta volant, litera scripta manet". Translated, it means: "Spoken words are fleeting, the written word remains."

I don't know the author of the phrase, his name is long lost to history, but I've taken it as my credo and the reason I am so adamant about keeping the work of Joseph R. Scogna Jr. in print.

Joe lectured and taught a great deal; he was eager to share his philosophy. It seemed he had years ahead of him, plenty of time for recording seminars. We could always record and film later. Who could have imagined an early demise for this energetic young man?

So it is through his own words published in books and courses that Joe continues to reach out to a new generation of students in such fields as holistic evaluations and solutions, energetic healing, homeopathy, elementology, acupuncture, electronic pollution, nutrition, emotional release work, etc. Even today, people are amazed at how far ahead of his time Joe was; how far ahead of us he still is!

Go Giants! or, do Titanium necklaces really work?

The World Series is on! For those not familiar with American baseball, this is the highlight of the season as the top two teams in different leagues vie for the title of World Champions. This year it is the San Francisco Giants and the Texas Rangers.

Have you noticed the thick necklaces some of the players are wearing? These are made of the metal Titanium. Titanium is an element, so I checked my copy of The Promethion, by Joseph R. Scogna Jr. This text presents detailed information on all the elements of the periodic table, of which everything on Planet Earth is comprised, including the human body and our energy field.

Excerpt: “Titanium was named for the Titans, a mythological race of giant Gods, of whom Prometheus was one.”

“Titanium works with the hypothalamus, the adrenals, the kidneys and the gonads. It has a major effect on the energy system of the body. The main influence of titanium is on the reflection of light from external sources toward the hypothalamus, and in this function, it has an influence on the eyes.”

Of further interest to athletes, Scogna writes: “Titanium can be found in the muscles of the body because of its profound effect on the sequences of energy production and reduction. It resists oxidation and the aging process.”

In the section on History and Personality, Scogna unites physical alchemy with spiritual alchemy. He writes: “It is this energy that classical Greek mythology borrows to paint scenarios of paramount activity – gods warring against other gods. This elemental chain is the threshold of energy separating man from superman. Titanium is named “THE TRIUMPHANT DEPARTURE” because its energy spurs physical matter (the body) into accomplishing impossible beautiful goals for the individual (the spirit).”

Wow! The images Scogna paints really do fit the present scenario of two of the greatest baseball teams fighting it out on the ball field. Better eyesight, better muscle and energy production, and resisting the aging process, all in an effort for man to become superman.

Part 2: A Dying Horse gets his Wish

SAF Interpretations are a series of numbers that relate to organs and glands, emotions and conditions. Combinations of these numbers tell the story of syndromes and diseases.

After the infrared scan had been completed, Joe Scogna sort of hesitated when he saw the numbers on the screen, but gave the Interpretation as he saw it not knowing what to expect. But instead of identifying a disease, Joe said, "He doesn't like his work, a 3-4-5 in the core."

He turned to the three for a response.

The woman answered tersely, "We don't work him - he isn't a workhorse. He's a fine thoroughbred!"

Roger cringed. Obviously, this trip was a mistake. Joe didn't know horseflesh.

Undeterred, Joe turned back to the computer screen and continued. "He's lost his zest for living, this 13-17/18," he pointed to the lead numbers in the sequence on the screen. "And the 13-20 up-link shows he is homesick and depressed. Whatever happened, whatever changes were made, this was all very traumatic for the horse and it has upset his hormone balance," he stated matter-of-factly.

After a brief silence, the weight of his words sunk in; both owners began speaking at once. "He's a fine racehorse, a champion we purchased at great expense!"
"We wanted to recoup our money by putting him out to stud, but he's impotent!"
"He isn't interested in mares..."
"He has the best of everything here, the pastures, the feed, the peace and quiet for his retirement years."
"And yet, he is going downhill!"

As the story unfolded, the couple finally understood the messages their horse was sending them. They had taken him from the fast-paced life of the racing circuit where he was tops in his class, away from that energy and vitality, and had moved him to their bucolic country estate where they planned to recover their investment by using him for breeding purposes. But the horse missed the excitement of his old life and job, wasn't interested in the new life they were providing.

"It's right here," said Joe, "the 13-17/18-20 tells us loss of zest, loss of sexual powers. He is depressed about the move and can't perform at his new job, providing offspring."

Mystery solved. The emotional issues beneath the "illness" had been brought to the surface by the SAF chain and the owners decided to make some changes. The stallion would receive more attention and grooming from people, uplifting, parade-type music, flags waving and fanfare.

Last I heard, the horse was doing well, interested in mares, and living up to his potential as a stud.

SAF and the Horse, Part 1

Roger Willoughby-Ray, of Pittsburgh, PA, recounted an experience with Joe Scogna and SAF. Roger was a well-known communications expert and marketing consultant for Francis Health Systems throughout the USA, plus an import/export specialist. He was a radio personality, spoke with a delightful British accent. Being an advocate of computers and self-improvement, he was enthralled with the SAF numbering system; by the mid-1980s he was on the SAF Advisory Board.

Roger had friends in West Virginia with a very ill horse. Several vets had been consulted and none could come up with a diagnosis. The horse hadn't responded to any treatment and it was obvious to all that the animal was dying. He was to be put out of his misery soon and his owners were devastated.

In conversing with Joe about this sad circumstance, Joe assured Roger he could discover the ailment of ANY being, human or animal. "After all," he reasoned, "all living beings possess Life Energy. It is a matter of tapping into that energy to find the blockages. SAF can do this!"

It sounded fantastic to Roger, so, just before they were scheduled to put the horse down, Roger convinced his friends to give SAF a try. They were eager to find the disease and take whatever measures were necessary to save the animal. But they didn't want him to suffer any longer.

Joe flew to Pittsburgh in his airplane, then drove with Roger to the home of his friends. It was a BIG spread, fenced and cross-fenced. It was such a large horse ranch that all four of them drove down a long lane to the stable to examine the dying horse.

The original Apple system Joe used was cumbersome, with dual disk drives, interface cords to and from the Infrared Sensitizer, a heavy monitor and keyboard. There wasn't a tower then, no memory to speak of; the many 5.5-inch floppies contained the "memory" of this system. Finally, locating an electric outlet in the stable and using extension cords, Joe set up the system as Roger regaled his friends about SAF and its ability to find diseases.

Truth be told, Joe didn't know anything about this horse or any horse, or if SAF would even be able to read the energy of the animal. Would the energy translate into symptom patterns as in a human being? But he deftly performed an infrared scan of the horse's head as he had done countless times on humans. The temperature readings fed into his computing system and an image slowly appeared on the computer screen.

"I was totally embarrassed," Roger stated later. "I was expecting a horse head to appear on the computer screen and instead it was the image of a human head! How could I explain this?" He fidgeted as he waited to hear about the disease of this horse. "I could not have anticipated what was to happen next," he said.

I wish that I had known Joseph Scogna! Polymath, Renaissance Man, original thinker, synthetic visionary, compassionate prophet – all these descriptors and more come to mind and heart as one ponders the wisdom in these pages. SAF Simplified is at once: metaphysical cosmology, philosophy of life, ethical system, psychological manifesto, and self-help guide with its 120-item questionnaire.

The author of this review can testify to a tremendously significant personal insight that was gained from the analysis of his answers provided by software and the text.

Balance is the “spirit” and atmosphere that breathes throughout this volume as Scogna moves effortlessly back and forth between discussions of energy from the sun, organic/glandular health and malfunction, psychological strength and mistakes.
